JA Ghana and Sailing Stone Conclude 2026 Youth Immersion Program

Junior Achievement (JA) Ghana, in partnership with A Sailing Stone, has successfully concluded the fourth edition of the Youth Immersion Program—an initiative designed to connect young professionals from the African diaspora with Ghana’s dynamic business, innovation and social entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The 2026 edition welcomed four young professionals who were placed with four Ghanaian organisations: Adansi Travels, MX24 TV, Reusable Bags GH, and Vista. Through these placements, the interns gained practical workplace experience, interacted with industry professionals and contributed their skills and perspectives to their host organisations.

Beyond the workplace, the program provided opportunities for cultural exchange and personal development. Participants experienced Ghana’s history, values and entrepreneurial environment while building meaningful relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of the country’s social and economic landscape.

The program concluded with a closing ceremony on July 2, 2026, at the YOTA Skills Hub in East Legon, Accra. The event brought together participants, host organisations and representatives of JA Ghana and A Sailing Stone to reflect on the experience, celebrate the interns’ achievements and recognise the organisations that supported the program.

Speaking about the initiative, JA Ghana highlighted the importance of experiential learning in preparing young people for an increasingly interconnected world.

Since its inception, the Youth Immersion Program has supported 19 young professionals through workplace placements and cultural learning experiences in Ghana. The continued growth of the initiative reflects the shared commitment of JA Ghana and A Sailing Stone to equipping young people with the skills, networks and perspectives they need to thrive.
