JA Ghana Launches 2026 Cha-Ching Program

Accra, Ghana — Junior Achievement (JA) Ghana has announced the commencement of the 2026 Cha-Ching Financial Literacy Program. The initiative will equip children across Ghana with the knowledge and skills needed to make responsible financial decisions from an early age.

The Cha-Ching program, funded by the Prudence Foundation, introduces young learners to four fundamental money-management concepts: Earn, Save, Spend and Donate. Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons and practical activities, students will learn how money is earned, the importance of saving, how to make thoughtful spending decisions and the value of giving back to their communities.

JA Ghana will work closely with the Ghana Education Service, including regional, municipal and district education offices, to identify participating schools, secure the necessary approvals, train teachers and coordinate classroom implementation.

Teachers from selected schools will receive training and instructional resources to enable them to deliver the Cha-Ching program effectively. The program will also include monitoring and evaluation activities to assess student participation, program completion and improvements in learners’ financial knowledge and behaviour.

Commenting on the program, Leslie Joppa, the National Program Manager said:

“Developing responsible financial habits at an early age can significantly influence a young person’s future. Through the Cha-Ching program, we want to help children understand the value of money and build the confidence and discipline required to make sound financial decisions. Our partnerships with education authorities, teachers, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana and community groups will be essential to reaching more learners across the country.”

The 2026 Cha-Ching Financial Literacy Program forms part of JA Ghana’s commitment to preparing young people with the practical knowledge, skills and mindset they need to succeed in a changing world.
