JA Pathways to Work is a work-readiness program designed to prepare young people for a successful transition from school to the world of work.

About This Program

JA Pathways to Work is an interactive career exploration and work-readiness program that equips young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make informed decisions about their future.

The program is typically delivered as a 2–3-hour session, the program helps students understand their strengths and interests, explore diverse career and education pathways, and prepare for the changing world of work.

Through practical activities and conversations with industry professionals and resource persons, participants gain real-world insights into different careers, workplace expectations and emerging opportunities.

The program explores career pathways across sectors, the impact of trends such as AI and technology on the future of work, and essential skills including communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, digital literacy and adaptability.

Participants are also introduced to an entrepreneurial mindset and encouraged to see careers as journeys that can evolve over time.

Each session ultimately challenges young people to identify the skills they need to develop, explore opportunities available to them and take practical steps towards building meaningful and successful careers.
